Tringify for Stripe lets your store take payments through your own Stripe account. Tringify builds and runs this app. This policy explains what the app keeps, why, for how long, and who else sees it.
Data we keep
| Data | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Your Stripe secret (or restricted) key, encrypted | To start payments and refunds in your Stripe account | Until your store's data is deleted after you uninstall the app, so earlier payments can still be checked and refunded after you change keys or disconnect |
| The signing secret of the webhook endpoint the app creates in your Stripe account, encrypted | To check that updates really come from Stripe | Same as your key |
| Your publishable key, your Stripe account's id, name and country, and the currencies Stripe lets it take | To show you which account is connected, offer Stripe in the right currencies and show the express wallet buttons | Same as your key |
| The first and last characters of your secret key, and whether it is a test or live key | To show you which key is connected | Same as your key |
| Your store's domains registered with Stripe for the wallet buttons | To register each new domain once | Same as your key |
| The id of the Stripe checkout or payment each payment attempt created | To find a payment again if its first answer was lost | 30 days |
| The access Tringify gives this app to your store, encrypted | To read your store's domains and ask Tringify to check a payment as soon as Stripe reports it | Until you uninstall the app |
| The time of the last update Stripe sent | To show you that updates are arriving | Until you uninstall the app |
| A record of each install and uninstall message from Tringify | To apply each message once | 30 days |
Data we don't keep
The app keeps no amounts, orders, refunds or customer details. To start a payment it passes the amount, currency, order number, your store's name and the customer's email address to Stripe; for an express wallet payment, Stripe also receives the shipping name, address and phone number the shopper chose in their wallet. Card and bank details are entered only on Stripe's own checkout or in the shopper's wallet and never reach this app. Tringify asks Stripe for the result of each payment and refund when it needs it.
Who we share data with
- Stripe, your payment provider, receives the payment and refund details described above, under your agreement with Stripe.
- Cloudflare hosts the app and its encrypted database.
We don't sell data and don't use it for advertising.
Where data is processed
The app runs on Cloudflare's global network. Stripe processes payments in the regions its agreement with you describes.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app removes its access to your store at once. When Tringify asks the app to delete your store's data, 48 hours after you uninstall it, the app deletes the webhook endpoints it created in your Stripe account and erases your keys and everything else it keeps for your store. To ask for a copy of your data or for its deletion at any other time, email support-apps+stripe@tringify.com.
Your customers' payment records are held by Stripe and by your store in Tringify. Customers who want a copy or deletion of them can contact you, and you can contact Stripe.
